A major accident took place on Sheikh Zayed Road, just after the underpass heading towards Sharjah, at about 1015am this morning.
The accident involves a white Nissan Juke and a silver SUV.
The Nissan was completely smashed and on physical evidence, had hit the central barrier before crashing into the SUV.
Traffic is already backed up all the way to the Interchange 1. Motorists can expect at least a 45 minute delay if heading in that direction. Five police cars and a tow truck are already on the scene trying to clear the mishap.
Ambulances were rushed to the scene and reportedly, had already moved the injured to hospital.
