An unidentified person was run over in an accident on Rashid Street, near Safeer Mall, in Ras Al Khaimah.
Colonel Ali Saeed Alalkim, Director, Traffic and Patrol Police, Ras Al Khaimah, said the operations room received a call last Thursday evening, that a person was hit by a car while crossing the road.
Ambulance and rescue teams rushed to the scene and moved the man to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
A UAE national, identified as MPQ, aged 23, was driving his vehicle when he was surprised by the man suddenly crossing the street. He could not avoid him and hit him.
RAK Police have released this picture of the man in the hope that someone may help identify him.
