The driver and conductor of a bus plying from Kaduruwela to Arunapura, in Sri Lanka, were arrested on Tuesday on charges of showing a pornographic film on a TV installed inside the bus.
They were held by Aralaganwila police, ‘Daily Mirror’ reported.
The bus had been carrying a full load of passengers, at the time of the incident, including students, women and small children.
The Aralaganwila police, who were alerted by two cops in civvies travelling in the bus, stopped the bus and arrests were made.
The two suspects, when questioned, had denied that the DVD contained pornographic scenes but believing it was a music video, they had played it.
Aralanganwila police led by OIC Lalith Rajamanthri are proceeding with further investigations.
