Marcos Rojo is a done deal as of this morning, as several news and sports websites reported the Argentinian defender having completed the move from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United.

Old Trafford itself has yet to confirm the news, but with the opening day defeat to Swansea completely shattering any hope of a quick revival, United fans will be desperately looking for some attacking flair to be added to the defensive steel.

Franz Beckenbauer was quoted by German paper 'Bild' as saying if Marco Reus moved out of Germany it would probably be to a club like Manchester United. That has set the rumour mills going in terms of Reus being a target now for United.

Carlo Ancelotti was then quoted in the Spanish press as saying while Angel Di Maria is still a Real Madrid player, his future is far from certain at the club. Which means Louis Van Gaal needs to get club CEO Ed Woodward and the entire Manchester United transfer machinery kicking into high gear.

Meanwhile, a radio interview of Rojo with ARG Radio Continental has already surfaces online with the defender quoted as saying: "It feels like a dream, to be a Manchester United player. Leaving Sporting wasn't easy."

The 24-year-old Rojo, who reached the World Cup final with Argentina, was named in the Fifa World Cup All-Star side for his performance in Brazil.
