Dubai Police have arrested a man in Nad Al Hamar area who was engaged in selling drugs to the young men in the country.
Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi, Director of Drug Control Department in Dubai Police, said the man was one of the biggest drug dealers in the country and was wanted by the police for quite some time.
He said the accused was one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in the country and had a record of trading and selling drugs to the youth.
There are 13 cases against him dating back to the year 2006. Three cases have been settled and 10 cases are still in court. In addition to that there are other criminal cases also against him.
Maj. Gen. Mahdi revealed that the accused was arrested at 5.30 in the morning when the anti-narcotics team raided his house and found banned drugs concealed at his home
He was also selling the seized drug in the country.
The accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution in Dubai on charges of drug possession and promotion.
Maj Gen Mahdi called on public to report any activity related to selling drugs in the country to the authorities.
