A German firm, Jupiduu, which produces 24-carat gold leaf slides called 'Golden Unicorn' for € 9,990 [Dh46,339], claims they have received four orders from Dubai, according to a report in wtkr.com.
And what's more, according to the company's founder, the blinged out slide wasn’t enough for one customer, who requested a version embellished with ruby, which would be the world's most expensive children's slide. The report did not disclose the amount for the customised toy.
The company said the idea for the regal slide was inspired by Prince George, to whom they gifted its blue slide. And later commoner parents began placing orders and customers from Dubai sought slides in gold.
The company continues to offer its slide in blue, pink, green and white for lesser prices - about $240 to $315, depending on the colour.
The toy slide measures about 57 inches in length.
