Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, UAE Minister of Labour, has announced that the private sector will get a day's paid holiday on the occasion of the UAE's 43rd National Day.
As such, December 2 will be a day off for workers in private sector companies and departments.
5-day break for public sector
On the occasion of the UAE's National Day, all ministries and federal departments in the country are to be closed from Tuesday, December 2, 2014 to Thursday, December 4, 2014, with work resuming on Sunday December 7, 2014.
This means the public sector will have a 5-day break on the ocassion.
