Two Indian motorists died in Ajman on Saturday at around 5am after being hit by a speeding taxi, when the two friends were changing their vehicle's tyre after a puncture, near the Sheikh Zayed Mosque signal.
Twenty-eight year old Midhun Mangattuthazhchayil from Kumarakom, Kottayam and 27- year old Shibin Mepparampu Veliyangal from Palakkad, Kerala were going to Sharjah from Ras Al Khaimah, when their Toyota vehicle’s tyre got puncture. While they were trying to replace the tyre after parking their vehicle on the road side, they were hit by another vehicle, thought to be a taxi, coming from the opposite side.
“They were working for our company," said an official of Al Mahir Fuel Trading Company LLC.
The dead bodies are kept in Khalifa Hospital, Ajman.
Friends of the two dead people are trying to repatriate their bodies after completing the formalities.
