The news of differences and separation of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis queen Sania Mirza have been making the rounds in the media for many months now.
In the past, Sania has dismissed reports that her marriage with Malik is in trouble.
She has accepted the fact that their marriage has not been easy because of their profession.
The fact that they come from different countries doesn't make things easy either.
The speculations of Sania and Shoaib's differences became rife due to the continued distance between the two sporting personalities.
To prove rumours wrong, Sania posted a romantic picture (in July) of Shoaib proposing to her with a flower which she captioned it "proposal after a proposal".
But this post has now been deleted from her social networking site.
That increased the suspicion of trouble in paradise.
During Eid, Sania chose to be home in Hyderabad (India) with her family, while Shoaib chose to celebrate it with his family in Sialkot (Pakistan).
Sania wished everyone during the festive season and thanked her fans for their support. However, Shoaib didn't find any mention in her tweet.
She wrote, "This journey wld not hav bn possible without my family, my team, my partner and u guys. I thank Allah for blessing me with so much in my life."
The otherwise outspoken Sania is now not ready to answer about her marriage and avoiding direct question about husband.
During the recent inaugural edition of IPTL Sania was bouncing around with Roger Federer, Ana Ivonovic, Rohan Bopanna, Mahesh Bhupathi, Novak Djokovic while Shoaib stayed away, partying with actress Humaima Malick and her family in Karachi.
Shoaib too seems to be avoiding questions about his marriage.
Just recently, while doing an interactive session with his fans on social media, he was asked by one of them - "y no combined pics of u n @MirzaSania on her Facebook profile?" to which Shaoib replied, "ask Her?"
So should we still believe all is well between the star players?
Reports suggest that the two have been avoiding each other for the past seven to eight months now.
The two sportspersons from two different countries, who tied the knot in 2010 amidst a lot of controversies and news headlines are again going through a rough patch.
We hope they can overcome the crisis and Sania can continue calling Shoaib her 'James Bond'.
