Saudi health inspectors shut down a restaurant after they caught a worker cleaning his feet with the dish washing sponge, a newspaper reported on Thursday.
The inspectors were on a routine tour of local restaurants to ensure they comply with health standards when they saw the worker using the dish sponge to clean his feet.
“We have shut down the restaurant and imposed a fine on it for such an unhealthy act by the worker,” ‘Sabq’ daily said, quoting inspection section director at the municipality in the northwestern town of Al Jouf.
