If you have been fancying laying your hands on the world’s slimmest smartphone, you will be disappointed. Fly and Eurostar launched its Fly Blade – and are still calling it as the world’s slimmest smartphone. The 5.1-mm device is much thicker than the Vivo X5 Max, which is just 4.75 mm in thickness and the company officials failed to explain why they continued to brand the Blade the slimmest smartphone in the world.
In fact on December 15, ‘Emirates24|7’ published this report calling the device the slimmest phone in the region and not the world.
Region's slimmest smartphone to be launched
A note sent out to the media by Fly said, “Measuring at only 5.1mm thin, the Fly Blade is officially the slimmest smartphone in the world available for purchase, weighing a mere 95.5 grams, and combining an ultra-sleek design with advanced technology at a competitive of Dh999.
Moving away from semantics, both Fly and Eurostar have taken on the competition head on, with an attractive price structure.
The device is powerful enough with an octa-core 1.7Ghz processor, a 4.8” Super AMOLED display. A 1.8mm narrow bezel, scratch resistant Gorilla Glass, an 8MP camera and Lithium-Ion 2050 mAh battery.
The device also incorporates three sensors for acceleration, proximity and light.
