A multiple-car crash involving up to six sedan cars saw traffic congestion on Al Khail Road near the Nad Al Sheba exit.
Dubai Police and ambulance are already at the scene and are busy directing traffic.
In addition, an overturned truck a few hundred metres down the road is causing a second bottleneck for commuters driving on to Al Khail Road.
While details of the two accidents are yet unclear, commuters are complaining the nearby arteries are blocked with cars as drivers look for alternatives.
