SRI LANKA: Following an investigation conducted into complaints lodged with the Crimes Division of Western Province- North on incidents of harassing women by sending inappropriate messages to their mobile phones, an individual was arrested on March 4 in Katupotha.
It has been reported that the suspect is a resident of Katupotha. Police also found three mobile phones and four sim cards used for harassing women as well as a National Identity card belonging to another individual.
The suspect is expected to be produced before Gampaha Magistrate Court. Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
