Thirty-two government entities will be participating in the third edition of Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition (DGAE), with some of the participating organizations offering free services to residents, according a senior government official.
“Everyone has to come to the government to obtain various services (immigration, health, etc) and the exhibition gives opportunity for people to see and learn and even get some free services,” Dr Ahmad Abdulla Al Nuseirat, Coordinator General – Dubai Government Excellence Program, told Emirates 24|7.
“We have left it to the government entities to decide on the services, but I assure you that some of the government entities will provide service free of charge.”
The number of participants has doubled from last year. This platform offers the opportunity for the government and the people to know each other. We would like to make people happy so it offers us the opportunity to explain to them about our achievements, projects and services.”
DGAE will be held from March 30 to April 1 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In 2014, Emirates 224|7 reported that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai, was offering residents free e-gate cards and smart gate activation, which lead to long queues at their stand.

The exhibition is being held under the theme “Local Government and Global Achievements” and is expected to attract visits from international delegations.
