Dubai saw 289 road accidents on Tuesday between 3am and 12 noon, even as residents woke up to another foggy morning today.
According to the traffic police, unstable weather conditions resulted in accidents that ranged from minor and moderate to serious.
The Command and Control Centre received 2,200 calls during that period, police said.

Meanwhile, NCMS forecasts fair weather today with fog formation during morning hours. Eastern areas could see cloudy skies with slight increase in day temperatures.
Brigadier Omar Al Shamsi, Director of Command and Control Centre, urged motorists to take utmost care while driving during unstable and foggy weather conditions.

He advised motorists to follow up traffic alerts and instructions for their own safety, warning that accidents taking place during such foggy and rainy conditions were fatal due to the low visibility and excessive speed.
He urged motorists to clean the front glass, windshields, headlights and indicators before getting behind the wheel and should leave a safe distance between their vehicles and those travelling before of them, slow down, and adhere to lane discipline.
