Rain and thunderstorm over the next couple of days will bring down temperature in the country over the next couple of days.
The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) forecast rain and thunderstorm on Saturday and Sunday which will reduce visibility and drop in temperature.
NCMS said cloud amount will gradually increase on Saturday especially over Islands, coasts and northern areas with chance of rainfall. The chances of rainfall will increase during the night.
It forecast moderate to fresh winds, causing blowing dust/sand, reducing horizontal visibility at times especially to the west. Sea will be rough over the Arabian Gulf & Oman Sea by afternoon especially with cloud activity.
The UAE Met office predicted that the unstable weather will continue on Sunday with rain and thunderstorm expected on the first working day of the week.
“Unstable weather condition will continue, cloudy over most areas with scattered rain fall of different intensity may become thundery over northern areas, with drop in temperature. Moderate to fresh winds, causing blowing dust/sand, reducing horizontal visibility at times. Sea will be rough over the Arabian Gulf & Oman Sea especially with cloud activity,” NCMS said.
Motorists have been advised to take caution on the roads while driving due to the poor visibility caused by the blowing dust/sand on the exposed areas.
It warned and advised the public from going to the sea during unstable weather conditions.
