Instead of paying her, a prostitute’s client forced her to give him money after he threatened of informing the police when she refused his reduced fee.
The client also claimed be a CID officer when was spotted by the watchman of the building where the prostitute lived.
21 year old Syrian SMM is also accused of impersonating another person and submitting another person's driving licence during police investigations.
SMM was stopped by the building's security guard and other men after he pretended to be a CID officer. The guard asked him to wait until he checks his identity with the police. SMM attempted to run away but did not succeed as was stopped and police arrived.
In the police station, SMM gave another person's name when asked by a policeman about his identity and presented a driver’s licence that carried the other person’s name.
The accused told investigators that on February 4 at around 11pm he accompanied a Chinese woman to her flat after agreeing to have sex for Dh300.
“When we reached her home, I told her that I will pay her only Dh100. When she refused, I threatened to inform the police or she should pay me money. She got scared and paid me Dh200 and $30 and I left her flat without having sex.
“Two days later, I went to her building and accidently saw the security guard who asked me about my identity,” the accused told investigators.
The security guard told investigators that SMM claimed to be a CID officer and opened his wallet to pull out his ID. When the guard asked SMM to wait until he checked his identity with the police, the latter tried to run away.
SMM is facing charges of using another person’s driving licence and impersonating him.
The Court will give its verdict on September 23.
